“We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to NeuroMath, especially to Teacher Michelle.

Though Wei Cong’s grade is slightly above average, he is still not confident in solving very challenging Math sums. We could not expose him to these kinds of sums as our resources were very limited. In addition, his attention span is very short so we need to be selective in his tuition class.

Though he was in the Elite Class at NeuroMath for only a couple of months, we noticed that his ability to solve challenging kinds of Math sums had improved significantly through your unique worksheets and effective teaching methods.

Wei Cong has told us that Teacher Michelle is a very patient and intelligent teacher. She has taught him many interesting ways of solving different kinds of challenging Math sums and he enjoyed her lessons very much. We strongly believe that all the ‘tools’ and ‘concepts’ that were imparted to him has help him to achieve an A* in Mathematics in his PSLE.“

“I’m proud that Mei Peng did well on the PSLE math – she obtained an A grade.

We are happy to say that sending her to Norman Tien’s class was indeed a right move. Before joining Norman’s classes Mei Peng was performing poorly in Math, her marks were ranged from 55 to 65.

After attending your PSLE Intensive Revision Programme, there was a dramatic improvement. There was a breakthrough!! Her marks soared to above 70 consistently. Indeed, she scored 87 in her prelim.

I would like to add that I find Norman’s approach to teaching Math refreshing. He is able to reduce abstract and complex Math problems to simple mechanical steps to follow. This is indeed his genius.

We are extremely grateful for what Norman has done and we would like to express our appreciation and gratitude.“

“Before joining Norman Tien’s classes, Ashvin was not very confident & did not know his concepts well.

The strategies taught in Norman Tien’s class were very useful for him to grasp during this short period of time before the PSLE. His form teacher was very glad as she could see significant improvement in his school work. He took shorter time to do the problem sum by using the strategies taught by Norman which also build his confidence level in Maths. Norman’s classes were fun, inspiring. He used to make careless mistakes but after attending Norman’s classes I notice that this has been reduced drastically.

I would encourage those students who are not doing well in Math to join Norman’s classes as the strategies taught in the class would be very useful & certainly they would do better.“

“My daughter used to like mathematics and able to maintain her grades above 85 till P4. In P6, her marks dropped to 66 (SA1) as she lost attention, interest and confidence.

Choosing a good tutor for our children is important so I flipped through newspapers, asked friends and surfed the internet on tuition schools providing June holiday Maths camp. At last, I found Mr Norman Tien and am very happy to have chosen his PSLE Intensive Revision Programme..

I’m impressed with their responsibility and they do put in great effort to help. Reluctantly, Sharlynn joined his PSLE programme during the June holidays. After which, she actually wanted to continue with the weekly sessions with Norman Tien as she found the teaching fun, methods are interesting and easy to understand.

Most importantly, they helped her regain confidence and understanding the mathematical problems. Her improvement could be seen from her school work and class test immediately, and her teacher did comment on her improvement.

I have confirmed to send my second child to Mr Norman Tien!“

“Before joining Norman Tien Mathematics, Caleb had always been very careless in his work. He cannot focus and has short attention span. His marks are always around 70+ to 82.

After a 10-day intensive training, his focus was still not there but he has acquired the techniques of countering his carelessness. He has to be reminded to apply the techniques and, as parents, we worked with him consistently. He went through the 10-day intensive training in the beginning of Primary 5 and by the end of Primary 5 he started achieving results. He scored 94 for his prelim.

Ever since he joined Norman Tien Mathematics, Caleb becomes more confident in himself. He starts to like Math and always wants to go for the tuition. He loves Norman’s jokes and the way he brings out the concepts to them. It was so much easier to understand. Besides enjoying the fun in the class, his mental calculation has improved. His teacher even commented that Caleb has begun to put more attention and thought to his Math work.

As parents, we are happy to know that he is able to perform and most important is that he loves Math and is confident about himself.“

“Gordon had been failing Math since P4 with marks around 40s. There were many basic concepts that he could not master. He was disinterested in Math and was extremely difficult to get him to concentrate on the subject. He would take hours sometimes just to complete 5 sums or so. He was also easily bored and had difficulty focusing in class as the teachers were teaching “above” his level.

After putting him in Norman Tien Mathematics programmes, it took about 5 months or so before I saw a glimmer of hope but he was at least interested in attending the classes which was much more than I could ask for.

Norman Tien Mathematics programme is very different from other tuitions. Gordon received much encouragement from his tutors and they were able to sustain his interest. I know they tried very hard as Gordon has special needs and has ADD symptoms. We literally ploughed through the 7 months and I could see him handling some of the sums which he never was able to. What was interesting was that the method used by Norman Tien Mathematics were captivating plus lots of humour thrown in.. He remembered the “stories” behind the concepts. His school teacher said he was showing improvement and some of the methods really work for him.

Naturally I was thrilled although I was apprehensive about him finishing the exam paper as Gordon struggled with time management. My son eventually got a B for math in the recent PSLE, something which I never expected, judging from his past exam marks.“
